This workshop is full. You can still add your name to the waitlist, which helps us understand the demand, plan for additional workshop dates, and notify those interested.

OMGMA has partnered with CAMH to improve access to their half-day, online workshop for front-line staff called Customer Service and De-escalation Training.

    Program details

You can read about the training in this program overview and on the CAMH website.

    Cost

$299 per person (CAMH does not collect HST)

    Participants per workshop

    Maximum of 20

CAMH is strict on this. Once the 20 spots are filled for each workshop date, new registrants can add themselves to a wait list.

Your organization will be limited to having a maximum of two people at any one workshop.

    Registration info

Front-line staff from OMGMA member clinics/teams should register individually with a unique email address.

When we get a set of 20 participants for a workshop date, we'll hand over the registration list to CAMH and they'll communicate with the registrants from that point on.

    Important notes from CAMH

    • The workshop will be delivered virtually by the facilitators through WebEx (hosted by CAMH). Please ensure that your registrants have the proper technical support to view and participate in the workshop (i.e., a good internet connection and audio and video capabilities).
    • The workshops may not be recorded under any circumstances.
    • Participants must do some eLearning before the workshop (details will come from CAMH) and complete an evaluation survey after the workshop.

By offering this training through OMGMA, we hope to reduce or eliminate barriers that individual clinics face, such as:

    • The high cost of training
    • Your small number of participants (i.e., not enough to get to the maximum of 20 participants and make it a cost-effective investment)
    • Your need to keep the clinic staffed and open

OMGMA's annual fall conference is the premier event for Ontario's medical clinic managers and the suppliers who support them.

"At my first conference, I was met by smiling faces and people asking me to sit beside them. I felt welcome immediately. Then the conference itself was relevant to what I do as a manager every single day. The networking was invaluable as I was able to ask my colleagues how they dealt with specific issues or who I could contact to get information to solve my issues. I came away feeling like I was part of a larger team, and amongst friends."

"It is important to our office to have a forum from which our Executive Director can draw. We have indeed always found the information reviewed with our office after an OMGMA event very informative and helpful in the overall day-to-day operations of our practice."
