OMGMA has partnered with CAMH to improve access to their half-day, online workshop for front-line staff called Customer Service and De-escalation Training.

Cost

$319 per person (CAMH does not collect HST)

Participants per workshop

Maximum of 20

CAMH is strict on this. Once the 20 spots are filled for a workshop date, new registrants can add themselves to a wait list.

Your organization will be limited to having a maximum of three people at any one workshop.

Registration info

Front-line staff from OMGMA member clinics/teams should register individually with a unique email address.

When we get a set of 20 participants for a workshop date, we'll hand over the registration list to CAMH and they'll communicate with the registrants from that point on.

Important notes from CAMH

The workshop will be delivered virtually by the facilitators through WebEx (hosted by CAMH). Please ensure that your registrants have the proper technical support to view and participate in the workshop (i.e., a good internet connection and audio and video capabilities).

The workshops may not be recorded under any circumstances.

Participants must do some eLearning before the workshop (details will come from CAMH) and complete an evaluation survey after the workshop.

Reducing barriers and supporting your people

By offering this training through OMGMA, we hope to reduce or eliminate barriers that individual clinics face, such as:

The high cost of training
Your small number of participants (i.e., not enough to get to the maximum of 20 participants and make it a cost-effective investment)
Your need to keep the clinic staffed and open

This is YOUR conference, specifically designed for managers and directors. Join your peers who lead FHTs and FHOs, NP-led teams, specialty clinics, and other types of medical group practices.

Your once-a-year opportunity to meet and strategize with other members in person
Two evening events included (we're visiting The Gibson Centre for dinner and entertainment on Wednesday evening!)
Talk to exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services (new suppliers each year!)
Targeted learning chosen by your fellow members. Take some time away from your desk and return to your team with fresh perspective and loads of info and ideas.

Important registration information

Members should log in to the website first to access member rates.
Program begins Wednesday morning and runs through Friday morning . We'll host an informal networking event on Tuesday evening.
We look after ALL your hotel reservations, with our access to discounted rates. Don't call the resort directly.
In addition to the educational program, the conference package includes two nights' accommodation (Wed & Thurs) at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort & Conference Centre and all meals.
A "no hotel accommodation" option is available for local delegates or for one of two colleagues who wish to share a double hotel guest room.
You may book extra nights (extra charge, but at group rates) during registration; choose Tues Sept 15, Fri Sept 18, and/or Sat Sept 19 (very limited for Fri & Sat)
A companion (e.g., spouse, friend) registration fee is available to add during registration. (To join you at all meals/evening activities.)

Want to attend your first OMGMA conference, but finances are tight?

The first 10 members to register who have never been to an in-person fall conference can receive a 50% discount on the early bird package fee (regular rate $939). Use registration type e) First-timer discount to get the special rate. First-come, first-served!

Can non-members attend?

Non-members who work with a current OMGMA member may attend at the non-member rate. Those in a management role, as well as those aspiring to be managers, are welcome. Members may wish to invite their "right-hand person" to attend as a learning opportunity.

Clinic managers and directors who do not yet have an OMGMA member on their team should first join OMGMA, then attend at member rates.

Each conference delegate should complete their own unique registration with a unique email address.
